Argentina & Chile

THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED

National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services, Nottingham
Mon 28th Mar 2011, 12:15 to 16:30

This event has finished.

Argentina is the world’s 22nd largest economy, the second largest in South America and is a founder member of Mercosur. Continuing to grow beyond expectations, the economy expanded by 9.1% in 2010. The country has a population of 40.5 million who generate the highest per capita GDP in South America, currently US$14,020.

Chile is widely recognised as one of the best managed and least bureaucratic economies in South America and has enjoyed regular periods of steady growth. The country has numerous successful Free Trade Agreements, economic association agreements and is an associate member of Mercosur. This network provides access to nearly 1.2 billion consumers worldwide, making Chile an attractive export platform.

Find out how your business can benefit from the prospects these markets offer by joining us, in partnership with UKTI, for an afternoon seminar on Monday 28 March. The timing of the event has been designed to give you the opportunity to interact live via video link with the British Embassies in Buenos Aires and Santiago. A chance to get all your burning questions answered by Commercial Officers on the ground in your target markets!

The programme for the afternoon will also provide you with:

·         An update on the latest market developments and current trading conditions in Argentina and Chile;

·         An overview of the key sectors and wide ranging opportunities available in both markets;

·         An insight into the Argentine and Chilean banking systems and how to manage your trade finances successfully in these markets;

·         Tips and advice from a UK company with first hand experience of developing new business in South America.

Taking place at the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services in Nottingham, the event will commence at 12.15 pm with registration and a buffet lunch. The presentations will begin at 1.00 pm and the afternoon will draw to a close at 4.30 pm.

Prior to the event there will also be the opportunity to meet on a one to one basis with Commercial Officers from the British Embassies in Buenos Aires and Santiago, plus our sponsors Roythornes and RSM Tenon.
