Preparing Your Business For Europe

Preparing Your Business For Europe

Preparing your Business for European Expansion

National Space Centre, Leicester
Wed 18th Nov 2009, 17:15 to 20:00

This event has finished.

Despite the economic turmoil of the last 18 months, Europe is still a key place in which to do business. With countries such as France and Germany reporting that they have now come out of recession, it appears that the so-called green shoots of recovery are growing on the continent. You may feel you know these markets, with their being located on your doorstep and with many of them belonging to the European Union, but there are still key aspects of doing business there that you need to be aware of.

This seminar, hosted by one of emita’s sponsors, Tenon, will focus on how you can prepare your company properly and make sure it is in the best possible shape for doing business across Europe. The evening’s presentations will be structured around a case study which explores how a regional company established themselves in Poland, with our expert speakers providing guidance and advice on the following:

·         Establishing your proposition and the market for your business within Europe

·         The methods for expansion across the continent

·         The costs involved

·         Starting up – options for set-up and structure

·         Employing people throughout Europe

·         Bringing your profits back to the UK

·         Minimising the tax costs of buying and selling goods and services across Europe

·         Current VAT issues including what you need to know about January 2010 changes

So join us on Wednesday 18 November 2009 at the National Space Centre in Leicester for an insight into how to succeed with your European expansion ambitions. The evening will commence at 17h15 with registration and refreshments, drawing to a close at 20h00.

Prior to the event, there will be the opportunity to have one-to-one meetings free of charge with representatives from Tenon to discuss your specific queries or concerns with them individually. Guidance and support will also be on offer from Barclays Commercial Bank and Roythornes LLP should you have any burning financial or legal issues. Please contact Elizabeth on 0115 947 1767 to take advantage of this offer and book an appointment with one or all of our specialists.

In addition, we are able to offer all our delegates free entry into the National Space Centre galleries which will be open from 10h00 to 16h00 on the day of seminar. If you are interested in visiting the galleries, please let us know at the time of booking.
