Are you interested in sustainable manufacturing and where the future direction lies? If so, join emita in partnership with the University of Nottingham Institute for Enterprise and Innovation (UNIEI) for a FREE evening seminar designed to give a flavour of global manufacturing and what we understand by sustainability in this context. Here sustainability could, for example, be outsourcing to make cost savings and boost productivity. However, this raises the issue of the concept of sustainability from a ‘green’ perspective.
The event will be held on Wednesday 22 April with a key presentation from Nabil Gindy, Professor of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at the University of Nottingham. By way of example Charles Cannon from local company, Ransomwood Estate Ltd, will give his view and experiences of sustainable manufacturing.
