Why Every Week Should Be Export Week
Another hugely successful Export Week is over but our drive to increase exports is not. As far as we at UKTI are concerned every week has to be export week if we are to grow our economy.
The Enterprise Experience – seriously fun!
East Midlands Development Agency - Wednesday 15 August 2006
How can we help people understand and tackle the challenges that face organisations every day as they juggle multiple demands and needs?
This highly interactive workshop models a multi-stage process whose objective is ‘to meet the needs of the customer’ and deliver a quality product that they will pay for; or not as the case may be!
Participants learn as they discover the challenges of working together to deliver their product (the game also works for a ‘service’ oriented environment). In 2 - 3 hours, 4 or 5 cycles of the game is played with the team working to meet tough production targets; meetings at the end of each cycle are used to review performance and plan future production.
The workshop covers many topics (including skills in handling “STICKLEBRICKS”) and it can be steered to reinforce particular skills such as communication, team working, decision-making and leadership.
By the end of the workshop participants have an insight into and experience of ways of doing things that could have a significant impact on their individual performance and also the performance of teams that they work within.
The workshop is applicable for anybody who works in a group or team - in organisations from the private public or non-profit sector. The Experience is particularly useful for those who are those embarking on their own business career as a manager or entrepreneur.
