Ron Edmonds (emita member) who has a background of Industrial Sales and Marketing, was responsible in the 1960s and 1970s for the marketing function of a division of a multi million pound UK corporation. As such he spent periods in the 1970s in Eastern and Central Europe, usually when contracts were being finalised. This included Romania where the operating conditions for UK business visitors were made very difficult due to the grip that the then President, Nicolae Ceauşescu, has on the Romanian people and the unethical business tactics that were employed in negotiations with western business representatives.
