The Russia Midlands Business Club’s next networking evening will be taking place on Thursday 14 July 2011 at Cobbetts Solicitors Offices in Birmingham.

With an independent Russian Republic only 20 years old this year, it is worth reflecting the scale of the progress and achievements, particularly given the complex and problematic legacy the new state inherited.  

This does not mean that we think operating within the Russian business environment is not often fraught and can indeed be intimidating, far from it. It does however mean that the potential for dynamic growth, based on the existing track record, is considerable. The next 20 years could be equally impressive, offering significant realisable opportunities.

The event will also provide you with an opportunity to obtain a practical lowdown on cross cultural business communication from Rachel Farmer of RSF Consultancy.

Of course, there will be plenty of time for networking too. The club don’t offer any magic formulas to doing business in Russia, but do provide the chance for you to talk to people who have met the same brick wall as you, but have found the route around it.
