Japan 6 Months On

Just six months ago the triple blow of the earthquake, tsunami and consequent nuclear incident had a devastating effect on Japan.

But, with remarkable resilience, the country and its people are recovering, and while there obviously remains much to do in rebuilding and rehabilitation, they clearly believe that getting business back on track will help to get the country back to normal.

Gerry Blacoe is a long-time supporter of various initiatives to assist exporters in the region.

Formerly Chairman of the Lincolnshire Export Club, he has been Chairman of the East Midlands International Trade Association since its launch in 2005. Through his training in modern languages he is also a strong supporter of initiatives to promote the importance of culture and languages in the development of international trade.
