Japan 6 Months On

Just six months ago the triple blow of the earthquake, tsunami and consequent nuclear incident had a devastating effect on Japan.

But, with remarkable resilience, the country and its people are recovering, and while there obviously remains much to do in rebuilding and rehabilitation, they clearly believe that getting business back on track will help to get the country back to normal.

Operating from Saudi Arabia and the UK, First Consulting is a multi faceted service provider which supports corporate clients with services based on four key competences - recruitment, training, outsourcing and consulting. In addition to leading the UK arm, Peter is also responsible for operations and marketing of both sites.

Peter is also founder and Director of Du Cane Associates, an organisation providing consultancy, business coaching, interim management and language tuition, mainly to the SME market. Consultancy specialisms are international trade, marketing and product development.

Peter spent most of his career in the plastics sector before entering consultancy and has a long standing interest in international trade. He joined the Board of EMITA in 2007 and has held advisory roles with a number of other bodies.

Peter lives near Matlock and is married with a family.
